You've heard that a man's sex drives peaks at 17, while a woman's doesn't follow suit until 30! Are we doomed to be out of sync? The good news is that these numbers refer to the time when sexual hormones are highest-our genital prime. Generally, though, both men and women's performances will peak when they feel most comfortable with themselves and their sexuality. Ironically, this tends to happen between 40 and 60, but it can really occur at any time! This is proof that if you embrace your body, a great love life will follow!More »

The first time you have sex is special. Or else, maybe, its awful. But no matter how good or bad that first experience is, losing one's virginity is a milestone in most people's lives. We asked you when you lost your virginity. Among the people who took our survey, 16% lost their virginity before high school, 40% had lost their virginity by age 16, just 1 person in 3 went to college still a virgin, and less than 10% were still virgins at age 21. There were some interesting differences between when men and women lost their virginity. Two thirds of the people who lost their virginity at age 14 or younger were girls. By age 16, 37% of the boys and 46% of the girls had lost their virginity. Over 60% of the boys who were virgins when they turned 17 had sex before the end of high school. However, fewer than 20% of the 17 year old female virgins had sex before college. Even so, by the time they reached their 21st birthday, men were not much more likely to have had sex than women. EXPERT Anyone who chooses to be sexually active runs the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease. Fortunately, it is possible to test for most STDs, enabling you to communicate responsibly with sexual partners and seek treatment, if available. We asked people like you whether they had ever had an STD test, and, if so, how long ago. ANSWER FOOTAGE Year ago Year ago to long ago to remember Mine was in January Three years ago Actually it was week ago Never had one haha Less than a year ago Yesterday Three months ago Id say o its last summer Two weeks ago very responsible Six Months ago Four or Five Months ago Twos Months ago Two months whenever I go I just say run em About a year ago It was in July A month ago something like that Seven Months ago A couple months ago I think in the summer time Um for me the same Maybe two years ago January 15th, 14TH Spring Last year Last Month Three Months ago Six Months ago Six months ago Expert on Screen Quite a few of the people we asked in person have gotten STD tests in the past couple of months. When we looked at the responses to our on-line survey, we found similar results. IMAGE 4 out of 5 people who filled out the survey said that they had gotten an STD test at some point in their life. Women were slightly more likely than men to have gotten tested. IMAGE Of the people who said that they had gotten an STD test, fully 50% said that their most recent test had occurred in the past year. Intro Slide - Sex Health Survey Expert on Screen What makes a lover desirable? The innocence of youth? The experience of age? Today, we went to the street and asked people how much younger their youngest lover was - and how much older their oldest lover was. ANSWER FOOTAGE Seven years younger Two years Twelve Three Years Zero Four Years Three years Ten years younger Ten years hahaha Seven Years Like three months Ten years Six months Four years I prefer not to say that on camera haha... Three I think Five years younger : a couple years, Six or Seven -a never slept with a guy younger than me I cant I wont.....a year Four Two years younger Eight years older Four years older Two or three years Twelve years Twenty-Four Twenty-Five years Seven years Seven Years, Two years more Twelve years....... Eleven years older Eight years older Twelve years Two years 30 years Ten years Te years Ten years Four years Four years Like Ten..Ten years Over Ten years Eleven, Twelve years older One Fifteen Fifteen years Expert on Screen The individual answers are interesting to hear - but the results we got from our large on-line survey were really revealing. Bar graph - put a 25 year old guy at right, and build the bar graph around 30 yo, 35 yo, 45 yo, 55 yo women. When it came to having an older lover, the men and women in the survey gave nearly identical answers - 30% said their oldest lover was within 5 years of their age, 35% said 5 to 10 years, 25% said 10 to 20 years, and 10% said more than 20 years. Expert on Screen But when it came to having a younger lover, there was a startling contrast between men and women. Split screen - left side, 32 year old girl scorning 22 year old guy, right side, 32 year old guy welcoming 22 year old girl For the women, 75% of the time their youngest lover was less than 5 years younger. The average man was twice as likely to have dated someone more than 5 years his junior. Old guy, young hot girl Not surprisingly, the older you were , the more likely you were to have dated someone considerably younger. When we asked girls if they ever faked an orgasm, we expected to hear some, 'Yes, Yes, Yesses,' but you might be shocked at what the guys had to say!

Ever since Meg Ryan's inspired performance in when harry met sally, men have realized how convincingly women can fake an orgasm. But girls, did you ever think he could be faking it too? We asked both guys and girls if they have ever faked an orgasm. Woman: Yes. Woman: Yes. Man: Yes. Man: Nah. Woman: Uh, yes. I have. To get it over with. Man: Ah, no. Never. Woman: Yes. Woman: Yes. Man: Yeah. Woman: Yeah. Woman: No. Woman: No. Man: No, I haven't. Woman: No. Woman: No. Man: No. ManL No, no I've never. Man: Yes. Man: Yes. Woman: Yes. Woman: Yes, definitely. Haha! Are you surprised by those responses? We asked a bigger pool of people the same question in our online survey. The results? 79% of women said they had faked an orgasm at some point in their life. That's probably not a surprising number to most of you. What may surprise you is that 55% of men also said they had faked an orgasm. This isn't exactly an unprecedented concept-after all there was a Seinfeld episode where Kramer reveals that he sometimes fakes an orgasm when "It's enough already and I want to go to sleep!" Nonetheless I think many of our female viewers may be shocked to learn that more than half of men have faked an orgasm in real life. Smokin' body? Check! But something about that potential partner's face has you walking away. What's up with that?

"Ever wonder why a seemingly perfect body does not necessarily a strong attraction make? Proponents of evolutionary psychology believe that it's the face that may seal the attraction deal. Perfect facial symmetry, they say, equals sexual desirability. But why? From conception, the human body develops by neatly splitting cells in half if all goes well, a "perfect" human, with an equal right and left side, results. But since nature makes mistakes, and genetic mutations do occur, most of us have little physical quirks, like one ear that is bigger than the other. From an evolutionary standpoint, we're all looking to create strong, healthy offspring. So it makes sense that those who are more symmetrical and more likely to be desirable mates are also often the most sexually attractive! Interestingly, it's also the only measure of attraction that crosses all cultures!More »

If fashion magazines are any indication, men want walking stick figures as partners. But biology (and real life) tell another story!

"A perfect set of legs never hurts, but what else do men desire? Some men like breasts, and others prefer butts, but all of them are biologically programmed to look for certain traits in a partner. Men are often subconsciously drawn to women with large eyes. That's because the feminine hormone, estrogen, halts bone growth in the brow making eyes prominent-and signaling strong reproductive genes. Of course, the "hips don't lie" when it comes to what men find attractive. Women with a waist to hip ratio of .7 inches or less-whereby the waist is significantly narrower than the hips-are attractive to men. That's because fat deposited on a woman's body is controlled by estrogen. A woman who produces an ideal amount of the hormone naturally winds up with a waist to hip ratio in this range, creating the coveted hourglass figure. But as any girl who's spent time in a crowded bar knows...men are definitely open to all their options!More »

"Sure, washboard abs never hurt, but what else do women want? Every woman is different, but they do have biological desires in common. There are some physical features that women are inherently attracted to. Ever noticed that Prince Charming was a lot taller than his Princess? Women are prone to be attracted to tall, physically imposing men. After all, it was these men who, in ancient times, were best able to protect. In addition, taller men are more likely to have stronger immune systems, furthering their chance of survival, and ensuring great mating genes! What else do women want? A guy who gives good face! Men with prominent brows and angular jaws are innately more attractive to women. That's because a male's face is shaped by testosterone, and angular features point to higher levels of the manly hormone. But if you're weak jawed, don't worry. The rules of attraction were made to be broken!More »

Get a whiff of this: Your sense of smell may account for the majority of your sexual response. We have more than 1,000 olfactory genes in our DNA. Compare that to just 300 genes for photoreceptors in the eyes, and it's little wonder that scent can ignite desire...or disgust. The human body produces pheromones, chemical signals that communicate reproductive quality to potential partners. These molecules are technically "odorless," so reacting to them is a subconscious act. Pheromones may help explain why you find that "sooo not your type" specimen incredibly sexy! There is still some controversy as to just how much of a role pheromones play in attraction, so if you're looking to surround yourself with scents to stimulate, studies have shown that men react most favorably to "home-baked" scents, like cinnamon buns and pumpkin pie. Meanwhile, women are aroused by baby powder, banana bread, and cucumbers! Who knew that attraction smelled so delicious?More »

If you're a wallflower, your uber flirty friend is probably healthier than you. How does flirting make a body feel great?

Think you know everything about catching the eye of the opposite sex? Think again! Flirting is fun, but it's also good for you! Studies show that people who flirt on a regular basis have higher levels of white blood cells in their bodies. Since these cells work in the immune system to fight harmful invaders, frequent flirters are actually healthier than those who avoid coy glances. Flirting is also universal. Women across the globe engage in similar moves to entice men. What's the most common gesture? Smiling, arching the eyebrows, then averting the gaze and giggling. But flirting can-and does-go astray! Research shows that men often mistake friendly behavior as being sexually suggestive. And both genders are guilty of making the most common flirting mistake, according to body language experts: maintaining too much eye contact. But there's really little to fear when it comes to flirting...as we've seen, it does a body good!More »

Whats to soon for sex? Dr. YF: When it comes to sex and relationships people have lots of questions. But youre lucky because we have the answers at sex health guru. Subject 1 (female): What I would really like to know is when is to soon to have sex? Dr. YF: There is no such thing as to soon for sex, as long as you feel confident that having sex with someone wont change the relationship for the worse. But when you want to have a relationship and your looking for someone who is willing to be with you for a while, then it could make sense to wait at least a couple dates before going all the way. It is very individual though. It all depends on your emotional maturity and how the relationship has developed up to that point. Research has shown that most men expect sex by the fourth or fifth date. While most women see it happening by the seventh or eighth. If you want a relationship that is more long term, your best bet is to focus on building trust and communication with your partner and letting your sex life flow naturally through that. Dont do it until your prepared either way. Whether things work out or not you dont want to regret your decision.
