Quitting smoking is one of the best decisions you’ll ever make, but that doesn’t mean it’s an easy one! What do a straw, a tissue, and a rubber band have to do with helping you quit smoking? Plenty! Prepare to curb cravings by tearing off a small piece of the tissue and stuffing it in one end of the straw. When you want a cigarette, take a long drag on your straw to simulate the action of smoking. If this feels too ridiculous, you can enlist the aid of an office staple! Try wearing a rubber band around your wrist. Whenever you want a smoke, snap the band. This action reminds you of the consequences of smoking, and the reasons you wanted to quit. Over time you will no longer need props to help you stop! Until then, keep snapping!
